Earlier this year I visited Thailand, and had the most incredible holiday of my life. I visited Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Bangkok and took loads of photos of all of them.

Predictably, I decided to make a Thailand travel guide. The first stage of this are now live, and I have been busy making maps etc for the site. Some pages are still works in progress, but I hope to get a full regional guide up before too long.

Some of the highlights so far are the Map of Thailand, Map of Phuket, Map of Koh Samui, Photos of Bangkok and Photos of Ayuthaya.

I have recently been learning how to design using CSS. It's requiring a whole change in the way I think about designing sites, but it is very rewarding. Here is a great site about column layouts using CSS.

There are numerous advantages to making the switch to CSS, the main ones for me being: leaner code (faster to load), more accessible sites and the sites are much more search engine friendly - i have a feeling this last point will become more important as time goes on.

I have teamed up with Cellar Tours - a provider of Gourmet wine tours in Spain and Portugal to provide a regular feature on Spanish wine and gastronomy.

This is an important development for my Spain travel guide and makes it unique amongst a plethora of other travel guides.
Advice on how to link, straight from the horses mouth.

It is excellent advice to design all websites to W3C guidelines. They will be future-proof, it will help your position in the search engines and it will make them accessible to all - extending your reach into the market.

My friend Chris has launched a new site that you can see at Holiday Car Hire UK, Cheap Car Hire UK - For cheap car hire and holiday car hire in a UK coastal town near you.

Again, this is a good example of a well optimized site, with eye catching but minimal graphics, as well as having the right balance of keywords and usability on each page.
