I’ve been working on a simple controllable lighting system for my current sculpture at college. It runs two effects at the moment but I will add more soon. The first is an array of RGB LEDs that have two knobs that adjust brightness and hue. The second is a series of flashing LEDs that flash at random. I apologise if you’ve seen this work before but I realised that I haven’t blogged about it so here goes… The photograph above was taken by Simon Mills at the Catalyst Arts Members’ Show in February 2011. It shows the top half of the ‘casting machine’ suspended by fishing line from the ceiling to give a weightless appearance.
