‘Disruption’ paintings feature a smaller crop of isometric pattern. They have one area of the pattern painted with a highly fluorescent colour which causes a disruptive optical illusion that is unsettling to the eye.

The number 7 is symbolic for many world religions: seven days of creation, seven chakras, seven deadly sins, seven virtues, seven doors to hell, seven steps taken by Buddha etc. It is also seen as a lucky number and so is associated with gambling and casinos.
